Our Cataract services are headed by Dr. JK Shah, a veteran of more than a lakh surgeries. Dr. Nimisha and Dr. Bhavesh Shah also do cataract surgeries with more than 9 years’ experience having performed thousands of surgeries.

Our cataract surgery OT days are on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. However this can be changed in special circumstances.

Cataract surgery is done with the latest Bausch and Lomb “ Millenium™ ” and “ Stellaris PC™ ” machines. They are both ultramodern Venturi machine systems which is like a Ferrari compared to the other peristaltic machine systems. Visualisation is with the help of one of the best microscopes in the world “ Carl Zeiss™ MDO ”.

We use special diamond blades for the precise, smooth incisions which measure only 2.8 mm. We have the entire gamut of intraocular lenses for use like multifocal lenses and TORIC lenses of reputed brands like “ Technis™ ”, “ Bausch and Lomb™ ”, “ Sensar™ ” , “ Acriva ™ ” etc. We select the lenses depending on the patient’s needs.

YAG laser capsulotomy for after cataracts or Posterior capsular opacification (PCO) is done with the “ Lumenis ™ ” Nd-YAG laser.
