Our cornea services are headed by Dr. Nimisha Shah, fellowship trained in the same field from Sankara Nethralaya

We are a registered centre for corneal transplants. Hundreds of transplants have been done by Dr. Nimisha Shah at our centre alone in the last 6 years. These include full thickness or penetrating keratoplasty (corneal transplant) or lamellar (partial thickness) keratoplasties like DALK and DSEK.

We have the “ Zeiss Atlas™ ” corneal topographer to help us in diagnosing Keratoconus. Keratoconus is treated by C3R (Corneal crosslinking procedure) and INTACS™ (Corneal Rings) at our centre, with hundreds of patients benefitting from same.

Corneal Ulcers and Chemical Burns and other ocular surface disorders are treated with Glue and bandage contact lenses, amniotic membrane transplantation, Photokeratectomy etc.

Dry eyes are treated with both temporary and permanent punctal plugs or occlusion.
